Fort Worth Police Officer Drowns During Training

ARDMORE, OKLAHOMA (CBSDFW.COM) - Fort Worth police confirm one of their officers died in a scuba diving accident.
It happened on Lake Murray Friday afternoon.
CBS11 investigative producer Jack Douglas Jr. confirmed the police officer was training with firefighters when the officer went under and did not come back up.
The officer was 49-year-old Harlan Whitworth according to DPS.
"We ask that you keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers," a spokesperson for the police department told CBS11.
