Fort Worth Police Involved In Short Pursuit Following Robbery

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - The Fort Worth Police Department was involved in a short vehicle chase late Saturday after responding to a robbery call.

Police said they noticed the suspect vehicle involved in the robbery and chased it down westbound on Loop 820 service road.

According to police, an uninvolved person in a vehicle struck the suspect vehicle as the suspect ran a red light at Loop 820 and James.

The suspect vehicle continued as far as Crowley Road where it caught fire and became disabled.

Three people were injured in the pursuit.

According to MedStar, two people suffered minor injuries and one suffered major injuries. All three were transported to John Peter Smith Hospital.

The suspect is currently in custody of police.
