FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) — Family members found a father and daughter dead early Sunday morning, according to police. The preliminary investigation indicates 37-year-old Jorge Flores and his 11-year-old daughter, Angela, died of a murder-suicide.

Fort Worth police responded to a 4:32 a.m. call about a shooting in the 3600 block of Mountcastle Drive, according to the Fort Worth Police Department. Flores' relatives, including Angela's mother, were outside the home. Flores and his daughter were pronounced dead at the scene.

Earlier, relatives had told Angela's mother that something may have happened at Flores' home. When she and the relatives arrived, they found Flores and Angela inside.

Flores and Angela's mother had recently separated, police say. Angela was visiting her father for the weekend.

A preliminary investigation indicates the two died in a murder-suicide, but Fort Worth PD homicide detectives have yet to make an official determination. Fort Worth police say there's no indication that they will be looking for suspects.
