Fort Worth Officer Arrested For DWI

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A Fort Worth Police officer has been arrested for suspicion of DWI.

On Sunday, November 8th, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a DWI call at N. Main and NE 28th street.

During the course of investigation, it was determined that Stephen Toothman was operating the vehicle officers arrested him arrested for suspicion of DWI.

The Fort Worth Police Department immediately placed him on Restricted Duty Status, and confiscated his service weapon and badge.

Toothman is no longer authorized to act in any capacity as a peace officer pending the outcome of the investigation.

He's been with the Fort Worth Police Department for 11 years and was previously assigned to the North patrol division.

The Fort Worth Police Department says it will not do any media interviews on this case at this time.
