Fort Worth Officer Shoots Drug Suspect

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A Fort Worth Police officer shot a suspect in a residential neighborhood in 6000 block of Tallie Road Wednesday night.

MedStar said the injuries to the suspect are non-life-threatening.

Fort Worth officers were serving a drug warrant at a house and shot a man inside who they said pointed a gun at them.

The suspect is being treated at a hospital after being shot three times; twice in the shoulder and grazed across the head.

He was treated by a tactical medical unit which had been disbanded for budget reasons but was reorganized after Officer Matt Pearce was shot int the line of duty.

The suspect was taken to JPS Hospital.
