Fort Worth Murder Suspects Captured In South Carolina

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A couple suspected of murdering a Fort Worth man has been captured and arrested more than a thousand miles away from the crime scene.

Brandon Daniels, 30, and Laniesha Evans, 25, were found in a Florence, South Carolina apartment complex on June 23, less than a month after the murder of Marion Brown.  Evans was taken into custody without incident in the apartment, Daniels was arrested in the woods behind the complex, after he tried to run.

Brown's body was discovered at the Enclave Apartments in late May, and the arrest warrants for Daniels and Evans were issued soon after.  However, authorities learned after the couple tried to clean up the murder scene, they left the state for South Carolina, where they believe Daniels has family connections.

While in South Carolina, law enforcement authorities say the couple were planning to rob others through an online escort service.

Fort Worth homicide detectives are headed to South Carolina to interview Evans and Daniels.  They are being held on Capitol Murder Warrants with bond set at $1,000,000 each.  Both Daniels and Evans also have active Aggravated Robbery warrants.

Fort Worth Police, Smith County Sherriff's Office,  Texas Rangers, Shreveport LAP, U.S Marshall's Service and the Florence S.C. P.D all assisted with the investigation and arrests.
