Fort Worth Man Arrested For Infant Daughter's Beating Death
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - A Fort Worth Police have arrested 23-year-old Ronald Ganichaux for the beating death of his 5-week-old daughter, Genesis Ganichaux.
Police responded to a 911 hang up call at 3312 Lackland Road on September 8 shortly before midnight. Officers found the baby with head injuries and struggling to breathe. Two days later, Genesis died at Cook Children's Medical Center.
Police say Genesis' mother, Victoria Thompson, admitted her boyfriend, Ronald Ganichaux, had assaulted her twice. On the second occasion, Victoria told police that he also hit their baby.
Ganichaux initially denied touching Veronica, but later admitted to police that he punched her several times in the face and their baby Genesis twice in the head.
He has been booked on one count of Capital Murder for a Child under the age of ten and is being held on $500,000 bond.
According to his Facebook page, Ganichaux is the father of three children.
