FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Fort Worth firefighters battled two house fires in the 6700 block of Beaty Street Tuesday afternoon.

A firefighter received minor burns and had to be taken to a local hospital. His injuries aren't considered serious.

Thick, black smoke could be seen for miles from the east Fort Worth fire. When first-responders arrived they found a fully engulfed building. Then, as they were extinguishing the fire, they discovered an adjacent building was also burning.

Ultimately, both fires were put out and the damage was limited to the two buildings. The cause of the blaze isn't known.

No other injuries were reported.
