Fort Worth Cop Arrested For Suspicion Of DWI

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Fort Worth police have arrested one of their own after responding to a car accident overnight on Randol Mill Road.

According to reports, police were dispatched at 2:35 am Tuesday to a single vehicle accident in the 8300 Block of Randol Mill Rd.

Over the course of the investigation, police realized the driver was Officer Evan Wincovitch.

Wincovitch was arrested for suspicion of DWI and immediately placed on restricted duty status, his gun and badge confiscated.

According to reports, Officer Wincovitch was arrested for public intoxication in October 2010, for which he served a three day suspension.

Officer Wincovitch was commissioned with the Fort Worth police department in 2008, he was assigned to East patrol division.
