Josh Hamilton Files For Divorce In Tarrant County

TARRANT COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - Former Texas Rangers All Star Josh Hamilton has filed for divorce from wife Katie in Tarrant County. According to court documents, Hamilton filed for divorce back in February.

The documents also show that the reason for the filing is "discord or conflict of personalities between Petitioner and Respondent."

Hamilton also petitioned the court on several issues, among them were: prohibiting his wife from using a Maserati and a vintage 1972 Chevrolet Blazer, prohibiting his wife from making disapproving remarks against, asking that she not be allowed to hide their children from him, or allowing a romantic partner from overnight visits while their children were home.

The couple shares four children, ages 3 to 14. They were married back in 2004. Hamilton played with the Texas Rangers for five seasons, including both World Series appearances in 2010 and 2011.

In 2012, Hamilton signed a five-year, $125-million contract with the Los Angeles Angels after five seasons with Texas.

Officials recently ruled that Hamilton would not be punished for a self-reported drug relapse.
