DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Well, I guess no one is immune! Former President George W. Bush was called for jury duty.
The former Leader of the Free World made his way to the Dallas County Courthouse Wednesday. Mr. Bush, who was dressed casually in a short-sleeve button down shirt and slacks, walked into the designated area and joined the group.
He shook hands with other tax-paying voters and took a few pictures.
No word yet if Mr. Bush was chosen as a juror. If so, do you think he'll be elected Foreman?
U.S. leaders aren't automatically exempt from jury duty. In 2010, President Barack Obama was called for jury duty in Chicago. He politely sent a letter stating he was unavailable -- he was preparing to deliver the State of the Union address.
