FLOWER MOUND (CBSDFW.COM) - The burglary alarm at Belk's Department Store in Flower Mound went off early Friday morning just as an officer was making a routine check of the back of the business.

When the officer drove to the front of the store he saw four suspects running out of the business. When the officer ordered the group to stop only one person, Lamar Benton, complied. The other three suspects kept running, jumped into two separate vehicles and sped away.

One of the drivers crashed at the intersection of FM 2499 and West Windsor. Officers found Jessica Cuevas in the vehicle and arrested her. The other two suspects, who fled in a red Ford Mustang, are still at large.

Investigators believe the burglars used a sledgehammer to break the glass door and enter Belk's.

Police say they recovered a "significant" amount of merchandise from the car that Cuevas was found in. Detectives say while some of the items appear to be from Belk's, a considerable amount of the merchandise is believed to have came from other retail outlets across North Texas.

Both Benton, 38, and Cuevas, 30, are charged with Burglary.
