FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Mommies and mommies-to-be across the world are celebrating their bumps!  The first-ever #Bumpday encourages women worldwide to post pictures of their baby bumps to promote healthy pregnancies.

#BumpDay is the brainchild of Heidi Murkoff, author of the website What To Expect, a go-to resource for moms to be from early pregnancy to delivery and beyond. The idea is to get a global conversation started about healthy moms, healthy pregnancies, and healthy babies. Murkoff notes that before BumpDay, there was no day devoted to the health of pregnant women around the world.

International Medical Corps, 1,000 Days and the United Nations Foundation's Universal Access Project are partners with the project.

The #BumpDay hashtag has been trending through the day on July 22, with expectant moms posting pictures of their current bumps, from outside and inside on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Moms have also posted throwback bump pictures of all sizes, while friends, dads, and siblings have gotten into the act too.

Share your bump photos with us on the CBSDFW Facebook page!
