First Alert Weather: Severe thunderstorms bring golf ball-sized hail to parts of North Texas
NORTH TEXAS (CBSNewsTexas) — If you are going to be out and about today, make sure to stay weather aware. The CBS News Texas weather team has issued an alert this afternoon for strong-to-severe storms.
Large hail, damaging winds and localized flooding are possible for the DFW Metroplex and areas east of I-35. The tornado threat is low, but is still possible this evening.
After a pleasant Friday and Saturday, daily rain chances will return to the area as a series of disturbances move through North Texas.
You can also break out the sweatshirts Sunday and Monday as highs will be in the 60s.
