Firefighters Battle 2-Alarm Fire At Old Six Flags Mall

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Firefighters in Arlington battled a 2-alarm fire at the old Six Flags Mall.
The fire was reported around 7:00 a.m. at the mall off of East Division Street, just east of Highway 360.
Construction crews told first responders that everyone made it out of the mall safely.
While heavy smoke could be seen pouring from the building, there were no reports of injuries.
The former Six Flags Mall is being demolished to make way for a new development.
Firefighters and demolition crews worked together to but out the fire. Construction equipment was used to open the building so firefighters could spray water inside.
The cause of the fire is still be investigated.
