ALLEN (CBSDFW) - A Collin County home is a total loss after a fire late Sunday night that's now blamed on lightning.

According to reports, Allen Fire crews found flames surging through the roof of a home around 7:30pm Sunday on Rachel's Court, west of Highway 75 and south of the Ram Rayburn.

Officials say the fire had such a head start that there was no way to save the house which is considered a total loss.

Lightning from the same system is also blamed for two Plano fires, one at an apartment complex and one at a home just a few miles away.

Despite extensive damage from all three fires, no one was hurt.
