Feels-like temps up to 105 through Friday, cooling next week in North Texas

CBS News Texas

NORTH TEXAS – Happy Thursday!

It has been a hot and muggy day with feels-like temperatures in the triple digits.

Plan for a hot and muggy evening if you are taking part in the Addison Oktoberfest activities this evening.

Because of summer's last grasp through Friday, we have issued weather alerts.

It will feel up to 105 degrees tomorrow afternoon.

Another warm and muggy morning ahead for tomorrow.

Make sure to remember the sunblock and to stay hydrated if you are out and about tomorrow afternoon.

It will be another sizzler, all due to the ridge of high pressure building overhead.

Who is ready for Fall? This lady, me, I am.

The astronomical start is just 3 days away!

And wouldn't you know it, that's when we are expecting our temperatures to start cooling back closer to normal.

We enter a pattern change next week as high pressure moves out, a couple of cold fronts move into the area.

The first will arrive around Sunday into Monday, with just a few showers possible.

Better rain chances arrive Tuesday into Wednesday, but we are keeping rain chances to 30% for now.

Hold on, relief is in sight!

Have a great night!
