FBI Searches Home Where Lancaster Teen Was Killed

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The FBI today served a search warrant at the home where a 13-year-old was kidnapped and then killed.

Federal agents have been combing through evidence and pulling out boxes from the home located near the intersection of Kiest Boulevard and Sunnyvale Street in the east Oak Cliff area..

"Today prosecutors and investigators from my office were at 2208 East Kiest Boulevard, collecting additional evidence for our ongoing investigation into the deaths of Shavon Randle and Michael Titus," Dallas County DA Faith Johnson said. "Collecting additional evidence throughout the course of an investigation is routine. We remain committed to vigorously and thoroughly fighting for justice on behalf of our victims. As this case is pending, we will not be releasing any further details at this time."

Randle of Lancaster and Titus were both found dead inside of that home just more than a month ago. Police treated the deaths as homicides, and believed that Randle was taken for ransom after a drug robbery.

The city has made moves to demolish the vacant house.

Johnson however dismissed what she called "rumors" about demolishing the house.

"Those are rumors. We can't tell you at this time what's going to happen to that house. We don't want anything to happen to that house until we know we have thoroughly done what we need to do in terms of our investigation and any discovery to the house," she said.

Six people were arrested in connection to Randle's death, but no charges of murder have been filed.
