DALLAS (CBS 11 SPORTS) - Robert Lopez Sr. and Robert Lopez Jr. are thankful to attend Dallas Cowboys training camp for the first time together.

Just a month prior, they didn't think they would ever have this opportunity.  Robert Jr. was forced to have quadruple bypass surgery and still has the scars as proof that life can never be taken for granted. Thinking back he said, "everything matters" and he wishes he had taken more time for his family before.

Robert Sr. says, "I should've taken him to camp a long time ago, but instead he's taking me."

The father and son are originally from Corpus Christi, but now reside in southern California.  No matter how many autographs they score, they promise this will not be the last time they bond through their love of each other and their love for the Dallas Cowboys.
