Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Rockwall Under Investigation

ROCKWALL (CBSDFW.COM) - According to Rockwall police, a suspect vehicle has been revealed during the investigation of a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Thursday afternoon on westbound I-30.
According to reports, the motorcyclist, 73-year-old Douglas Lewis, struck a mattress, which caused him to leave the roadway and hit a light pole.
He was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
According to witnesses, the mattress came out of the bed of a red Ford F-150 that was traveling in the same direction as the motorcyclist.
Witnesses also observed two females adjusting what remained of their load in the bed of the truck in the right shoulder of the road near the Horizon Road overpass.
Rockwall police are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the occupants of the suspect vehicle.
