1 Person Killed In Fort Worth Shooting

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Fort Worth are investigating a shooting in the southern part of the city that left one person dead. It happened at around 10:15 a.m. in the 1400 block of Stafford Drive.

Officers responded to the scene after reports of shots being fired.

Authorities confirmed that one adult black male was found dead with apparent gunshot wounds. Neighbors stated that they saw the victim in a car. The name of the victim has not been released.

Officials are still at the scene speaking to witnesses and conducting an investigation. One person has been detained for possibly being involved in the shooting incident. Police are not looking for additional suspects at this time.

The motive for the shooting is not yet known. Neighbors said that it might have been related to a pair of sunglasses.
