ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Arlington police say they are investigating a fatal vehicle crash that killed one person and injured two others Saturday morning at the 1200 block of Turner Warnell Road.

Investigators believe a car was traveling westbound on Turner Warnell Rd. when, for an unknown reason, the driver lost control and crossed over into oncoming traffic.

An SUV that was traveling eastbound struck the car on the eastbound lanes.

Police say the the 28-year-old driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and was the only occupant of the car. The identity of the deceased has not been released.

The driver and passenger of the SUV were transported to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The cause of the crash has yet to be determined, but investigators have not ruled out the possibility of wet roads or speed of travel contributing to the crash.
