Fiery Crash In Plano Kills 2 Teenagers, Seriously Injures 1

PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) - Plano police say two 16-year-old girls who were killed in a fiery crash in Plano late Friday night. Another 16-year-0ld girl was also seriously injured in the accident.
The three teenagers were reportedly in a 2016 Porsche and traveling southbound on Mira Vista Boulevard at a high rate of speed when the vehicle struck a tree in the center median and caught fire.
Witnesses say the vehicle looked like a fireball as it was wrapped around the tree.
The two girls, Lilly Davis and Samantha Sacks, were pronounced dead at the scene when officers located them inside the vehicle.
Another girl, 16-year-old Kendall Murray, was located on the ground near the vehicle and was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. She was last reported in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit.
Police say the the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
The two girls who died were students at Shepton High School in Plano. The school opened Saturday to offer counselors at the campus for support for its students.
"We're all kind of in shock when I first heard it. I didn't believe it," said Shepton High School student Sarah Mulatu. "I didn't think it was true. But I feel like we're all getting tighter and are now more close knit."
Friends and family also gathered at the site of the deadly crash where they decorated the base of the tree with flowers of remembrance.
