FARMERSVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - A fire occurred Saturday afternoon in downtown Farmersville that destroyed three historic buildings.

One of the buildings that was destroyed was home to gazebo manufacturing company, The Gazebo Factory.

According to officials, three people, who were working in the Gazebo Factory building, plugged in some fans to ventilate the building when one of the fans sparked and caused the fire.

All three people got out safely.

Mutual fire companies from Caddo Mills, Josephine, Blue Ridge, Nevada and Princeton worked to put out the fire.

There were no other reports of injuries.

Business owner Barbara Gehnert said she watched the whole fire from inside her antique store.

"It's all a very sad thing," said Gehnert. "For months we are going to look out here and we are going to see all of his devastation."
