Fantastic weather Sunday in North Texas, followed by gradual warming next week

Tropical storms form as North Texans enjoy sunny weather

NORTH TEXAS – Good evening! I hope you're enjoying this fantastic day and some great college football so far.

For the last day of the State Fair, tomorrow will be another great day. We'll start out a bit chilly again, with feels-like temperatures in the 40s to 50s, and round out in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Two new named storms have formed in the tropics. While they pose no threat to the continental United States, they will disrupt some locations in Mexico and the western Atlantic.

Unfortunately, our weather pattern doesn't favor any major changes in our rain department. We could really use some precipitation in the region, especially to the north and east. The troughs in the jet stream continue to remain north of us. Some signs indicate this could break in the extended future, but we won't hold our breath.

Maybe, and I mean barely "maybe," we might just squeeze out a drop Wednesday-Thursday this week. We'll see. A lot of sinking air will be prevalent above us, so this could be nothing.

Not bad. Have a great Sunday!
