Family Of Teen Killed By Officer Wants Justice Department To Investigate

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - The attorney for the family of Christian Taylor, the teen killed by an Arlington police officer last year, has filed a letter with the Department of Justice asking for an investigation.
Brad Miller, a rookie police officer, shot and killed 19-year-old Christian Taylor in August 2015 during a break-in at an auto dealership in Arlington.
The teenage college football player was unarmed at the time of the shooting.
Officer Miller was fired soon after the incident.

Taylor was vandalizing cars at a dealership when it was closed.
Earlier this month, a grand jury decided not to charge Miller with a crime.
Wilson explained, "By all accounts, Taylor was acting erratically, and in a manner dangerous to himself and the officers on the scene. When confronted, he continued to aggressively advance on the officers even after the attempt to Taser him."
