Ezekiel Elliott Won't Be Charged For Alleged Domestic Abuse Incidents

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Back in July, Cowboys rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott was at the center of a domestic abuse controversy. Tuesday, Elliott was cleared of any wrong-doing.
According to the Columbus City Attorney's Office, Elliott has been cleared of all five alleged incidents with his former girlfriend Tiffany Thompson "due to conflicting and inconsistent information across all incidents resulting in concern regarding the sufficiency of the evidence to support the filing of criminal charges."
Later Tuesday, Elliott's father expressed his gratitude on twitter that his son would not be charged.

Elliott's legal adviser, Frank Salzano, released a statement on the city attorney's decision not to press charges against the Cowboys running back:
"During the past six weeks my office, along with local counsel, have worked diligently and coperatively with the Prosecutor's office providing it with an abundance of evidence clearly demonstrating Mr. Elliott's innocence. On behalf of Mr. Elliott and his family, we would like to express our satisfaction with the Prosecutor's office decision of electing not to file charges against Mr. Elliott. We are very pleased that the Prosecutor's office thoroughly reviewed and weighed all of the evidence in coming to their decision. Mr. Elliott is looking forward to putting this behind him and continuing his focus on all things positive, both on and off the field."
In a 911 call in the early morning hours of July 22, Thompson claimed the alleged physical abuse from her 'boyfriend' had been going on "for the past 5 days."
One police report from the Columbus (Ohio) Police Department detailed the incident.
According to the report, Elliott allegedly attacked Thompson while she was sitting the driver's seat of her parked car.
The report stated that one female witness, sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle, did not observe the suspect assault the victim.
Three other witnesses, two men and one woman, were all in the parking lot and observed the entire interaction between the victim and the suspect - and they did not observe an assault, according to the report.
The report stated that Elliott was not arrested due to conflicting reports from witnesses, but that Thompson was referred to the prosecutor's office.
In a first police report, Thompson told police that he has struck her several times from Saturday July 16 through Wednesday July 20 - leaving bruises on her arms. She also claimed that they lived together for approximately 3 months within the past year.
In the report, filled out by Thompson, she listed her occupation as "sex slave."
Elliott claimed he never touched Thompson and that the bruises on her body were caused by a bar fight she was in. He also stated that he and Thompson never lived together but he did pay for her rent and was a co-signer on her vehicle.
