ARLINGTON(CBSDFW) - Roads closed, car crashes and major back-ups in Tarrant County as roads froze again Monday night.

A CBS 11 news crew was in Arlington Monday night earlier where the police department responded to several accidents on both eastbound and westbound I-30. One involved 7 vehicles.  The roads were very icy particularly over Green Oaks  Boulevard.

In one case the police needed some help.  A tow truck driver pulled an Arlington officer's cruiser onto the road after it slid off.  The officer said he was okay, then it was back to work as he headed to more accidents happening in the area.

Arlington police say they responded to more than 40 car crashes from noon until 10pm Monday.
