"El Chapo" Filmmaker Reacts To Latest Escape

NEAR MEXICO CITY (CBSDFW.COM) - Mexican authorities promised Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman would not escape prison a second time. His first successful break out was in 2001. On Saturday night he did it again proving Mexican authorities wrong.
According to investigators, he managed to slip away from the Altiplano maximum security prison using a mile long tunnel that took him from his shower cell to an area outside the prison which is about 60 miles west of Mexico city.
Documentary filmmaker, Charlie Minn whose recent film "Es El Chapo" takes a close look at his arrest last year reacted to the news of El Chapo's Saturday night escape by saying:
"This whole thing is a joke. I am not surprised because he escaped back in 2001."
According to Minn, public opinion suggests his arrest last year and this weekend's prison break out was orchestrated in large part by the Mexican government.
He added, "I don't think this was a sincere escape on the part of Chapo Guzman."
Mexican authorities have vowed to re-capture the notorious drug kingpin, and now even U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch is pledging support in the hunt to get El Chapo behind bars again.
