One Killed, Two Injured In Early Morning Accident On I-35E

DALLAS (1080 KRLD/CBSDFW) - A section of I-35E north between Northwest Highway and Loop 12 Walton Walker in northwest Dallas was shut down Thursday morning because of a terrible accident.

The single-vehicle rollover accident involving three people occurred around 4:30 a.m.

According to police, an unidentified male who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the Jeep and died at the scene.

The other male, who was also not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and was transported to Parkland hospital where he remains in critical condition.

The third passenger, a woman, was wearing restraints and was uninjured.

None of the people involved in wreck have been identified.

All northbound lanes of I-35E/Stemmons Freeway remained closed while police investigated the wreck.

The freeway was finally reopened about 6:30am.
