RICHMOND, Texas (AP) — Authorities say a man suspected of firing shots into a home led multiple law enforcement agencies on a two-hour vehicle chase before fatally shooting himself.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office says the Sunday morning chase started after a caller who reported shots being fired into a home identified the suspect as 21-year-old Andres Munez. After authorities arrived at the scene, a chase ensued in which Munez fired at law enforcement officers pursuing him.

Authorities say that eventually, Munez's pickup had a flat tire on U.S. 59, he lost control and crashed the vehicle. Authorities haven't determined whether he shot himself and then crashed or shot himself after the crash.

Munez was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No law enforcement officers were injured.
