Driver Dies After Crashing Into 18-Wheeler In Mesquite

MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) - A driver is dead after a crash between a pickup truck and a tandem 18-wheeler in Mesquite early Saturday morning.
Officers say the pickup truck slammed into the back of the 18-wheeler on eastbound I-30 and Big Town Boulevard at around 3:00 a.m.
The male driver of the pickup was killed. His identity has not been released.
Police do not know if the man fell asleep or just didn't see the 18-wheeler. There were no other injuries.
