DENTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Denton's SWAT team was deployed to the 3200 block of Wagon Trail Drive around 1:45 p.m. Monday after a domestic disturbance call came in to 911.

When officers arrived a family member told police a 28-year-old man, Jeremy Quada, was "at the location making irrational statements."

The family member said the Quada threatened to harm his family at his home there if the police were called.

Denton Police officers responded and set up a perimeter. Safety measures were put into place prior to making contact with Quada.

The Denton Police Tactical Unit was called out and went to the scene and negotiators made contact with Quada.

Around 6:00 p.m., police said Quada came outside and surrendered to police. He's in jail charged with unlawful restraint.

Some of the nearby apartments were evacuated during the standoff.

Investigators remained on the scene continuing the investigation. At this time, it does not appear that anyone was assaulted and no injuries were reported.
