DNA Leads To Arrest In Dallas Sexual Assault Case

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- According to the Dallas Police Department, detectives arrested and charged a man in connection with a sexual assault that was committed on April 13 of this year. They said DNA collected after the attack led to his identification.

The suspect, Perry Bishop was arrested by the Sex Offender Apprehension Program (SOAP) team Thursday, July 30.

According to police, the victim was walking near 600 N. Clinton Avenue when the suspect allegedly grabbed her from behind, dragged her behind a nearby dumpster, and sexually assaulted her.

Bishop was being held in the Dallas County Jail.  Bond was set at $50,000.00.
