Dez Agent Switch To Jay-Z A 'Marketing Bonanza'

ARLINGTON, Texas (105.3 THE FAN) – A source close to Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant tells me that while his change in agents means Jay-Z's name is attached and instrumental to Bryant's future, CAA will actually be hands-on with the negotiations for the star, in the final year of his existing deal.Furthermore, contrary to reports that the Jones family has an issue with the switch away from agent Eugene Parker to Jay-Z's Roc Nation sports management team.

In fact, I'm told Jerry Jones and company see the connection with Jay-Z - with whom Jones already has an acquaintanceship - is seen as a potential "marketing bonanza" for all involved.

I'm told Bryant made the decision official on Wednesday, as soon as the window opened for him to do so.

It is the stated intention of both Bryant and Dallas to make him a "Cowboy for Life," as team COO Stephen Jones recently told me.
