CORSICANA (CBSDFW.COM) - Detectives from the Navarro County Sheriff's Office shut down an indoor marijuana growing operation in the 2200 block of Cambridge in Corsicana.

Sheriff Elmer Tanner says detective sergeants Jason Earles, Kevin Scott and Robbie Jock went to the residence to serve arrest warrants on an individual for 3 counts of credit card abuse of the elderly.

When someone at the home opened the door, the detectives noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside.

The investigation led to an indoor marijuana grow.  There were also two very young children living there according to Sheriff Tanner.

Child Protective Service was contacted and they will be conducting a separate investigation in reference to the children.

The Sheriff says there were several different rooms configured to accommodate different stages of the growing operation.
