ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - The Arlington Police Department responded to a call around 7:30 p.m. Saturday night on the 3600 block of Covey Drive in regards to a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound.

The man later identified as Michael Tolbert, 58, was transported to a local hospital where he died shortly after arrival.

The shooting suspect was still at the location while officers were on the scene. Charles Bell, 68, was taken into custody and charged with one count of murder.

He remained jailed in the Arlington Municipal Jail Sunday morning while awaiting arraignment.

Detectives continue to investigate this incident and determine the sequence of events. Investigators believe the two men knew each other, and there was some type of argument that led up to the shooting while inside the townhome.
