DeSoto Police Confirm Business's Involvement In Human Trafficking After Executing Search Warrant

DESOTO (CBSDFW.COM) — The DeSoto Police Department has confirmed a local business's involvement in human trafficking after executing a search warrant Thursday.

In a statement released by the department, it was said that two adult individuals were being sexually exploited at the business located in the 600 block of N. Hampton Road.

Police also stated they have identified a possible suspect.

DeSoto Police have identified a possible suspect in the case and are taking the necessary steps to take the suspect into custody. No additional details about the case are being released at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

However, no arrests have been made at this time.

DPD has since connected the two exploited workers with the victim's advocacy organization Unbound, who will meet their immediate health and safety needs, and assist the two with a safe return to their homes out of state.
