Woman Leads Deputies On Chase From Highland Park To Frisco While Towing Car

FRISCO, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas County deputies chased a woman in a pickup truck who was towing a car in a nearly hour-long pursuit from Highland Park to Frisco.

The chase began at around 1:15 a.m. Monday after the driver refused to pull over for a traffic stop in Highland Park. Officials said the pickup truck was hauling a car on a trailer, and that the trailer's ramp was still down, causing sparks on the roadway.

Deputies chased the woman through LBJ Freeway, North Central Expressway and Sam Rayburn Tollway. Authorities tried to stop the vehicle with spikes but were unsuccessful.

During the chase, authorities said she had stopped near Highway 75 and Legacy due to traffic. As pursuing deputies tried to stop her, she drove off and intentionally struck a pickup truck.

Authorities were eventually able to stop the driver in Frisco near Lebanon Road and Ruth Borchardt Drive just before 2:30 a.m. The woman was taken into custody.

The driver was identified as 37-year-old Natalie Butler. She has been charged with evading arrest and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She's also charged with drug possession after authorities found a small, clear bag containing a white substance that's believed to be meth on her.
