Denton PD Searching For Hit-And-Run Suspect

DENTON (CBSDFW.COM) — Police are searching for the suspect of a hit and run that occurred early Saturday morning.

Denton police responded to the hit and run involving two pedestrians at the intersection of South Carroll Boulevard and West Sycamore Street around 2:20 a.m. One of the pedestrians was in critical condition, and the other victim's injuries were not life-threatening, the department said. A witness told police the car left the scene after hitting the pedestrians.

Police said a witness described the vehicle as a maroon General Motors pickup truck with a green UNT sticker on the back glass.

As of 12:45 p.m. Sunday, the vehicle had been found, but no arrests had been made. The investigation is ongoing.
