Denton Officer Urbano Rodriguez Leaves Hospital For Rehab Facility After Being Shot Last Month

State Law Enforcement Association Says City Of Denton Not Doing Enough For Officer Shot, Permanently Wounded In Line Of Duty

DENTON, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - A Denton Police officer shot in the line of duty is on the road to recovery.

Officer Urbano Rodriguez left Medical City Denton Wednesday for an out-of-state rehab facility.

Some of his police brothers and sisters helped see him off from the hospital to a waiting plane.

Officer Rodriguez was shot during a traffic stop in October.

The suspected shooter faces an attempted murder charge on a peace officer.
