Denton County Officer In Critical Condition After Crash

DENTON COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - A Denton County officer is in critical condition after being struck by a driver who had already hit another car and didn't stop, according to the Denton County Sheriff's Department.
Officer Jim Terry was on his way to work at the Denton Count Jail on Sunday, July 3 when he was hit.
Officer Terry has been with the Denton County Sheriff's Department for two years.
His colleagues started a GoFundMe page to help him and his family.
The driver of the car is Oscar Salmaron, 42. Authorities say he left the scene but was caught by Denton Police officers and taken to jail.
