ROUND ROCK (AP) - Yu Darvish threw fastballs in the mid-90s while also working on more offspeed pitches in his third rehabilitation start since Tommy John surgery 14 months ago.

Darvish said he was hitting 94 or 95 mph while throwing nice and easy in four innings for Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday night.

The Japanese right-hander threw 31 of 54 pitches for strikes, and the only hit he allowed was a home run against Oklahoma City, an affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Darvish struck out four and walked two while giving up two runs, one earned.

Darvish could be back in the Rangers rotation by the end of this month.

He last pitched in a major league game Aug. 9, 2014, before dealing with right elbow inflammation. He had surgery the following March.
