BURLESON (CBSDFW.COM) — High water and dangerous conditions are delaying the recovery search for the 76-year-old woman who was swept away early Friday morning.

Zenola Jenkins of Burleson was stuck in rushing water at 11600 Oak Grove Rd. South around 1 a.m. Friday, the department said. When Tarrant County Sheriff's Deputy Krystal Salazar tried to rescue her, both women and the car Jenkins was driving were swept away. Salazar was found two hours later clinging to a tree and taken to a hospital.

Jenkins is still missing.

Fort Worth Fire Department said high water was still covering the bridge around 4 p.m. Sunday, and dive crews will continue to assess the water conditions before starting any recovery efforts. Fast-moving water with debris are dangerous for the divers, the department said, as they are fighting the current with 1 to 2 feet of visibility underwater.
