DALLAS (KRLD) - A dance-off gone wrong turned into a brawl between two Dallas high school teams after their football game last weekend.

Principals at James Madison and Wilmer Hutchins High Schools met with parents this week to talk over the situation.

"They were not pleased, obviously," says Dallas ISD spokesman Andre Riley. "They were embarrassed for their schools and for the fact that students participated in an activity that wasn't approved. And they did it while representing their schools."

A video taken shows a Madison High performer doing a routine in front of a dancer on Wilmer Hutchins' team. That girl turned her back to walk away, but was hit in the head by the Madison High dancer. A fight followed.

"That fight involved multiple other people that were attending the game, and we had to get control of the situation quickly," says Riley.

All drill team members at both schools are suspended from performing for one game. Nobody was seriously injured, and no arrests were made.
