Dallas Zoo Monorail Stalled, Passengers Trapped

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Several Dallas Zoo visitors were trapped on the Zoo's monorail system Wednesday afternoon, according to a spokesperson for Dallas Fire-Rescue.

Crews responded to the scene, shortly after noon, to help rescue an estimated 50 trapped passengers.

No injuries were reported.

The monorail has had similar problems in February 2013 and September 2011, stranding dozens of passengers.

In February of 2013, the zoo announced plans to revamp the classic monorail system.
