Dallas Woman Confesses To Bank Robbery

MESQUITE (CBSDFW.COM) - A day after a robbery at a First Convenience Bank inside a Kroger on Gus Thomasson Road, the suspect is behind bars.

After releasing surveillance video of the crime which happened Tuesday, April 5, Mesquite Police say they received tips that led them to the suspect.

On Wednesday, April 6, Chenequa Babers, 34, of Dallas surrendered herself to investigators, confessed to the robbery and was arrested.

Babers is charged with one count of robbery and one outstanding traffic warrant.

Her bond has been set at $50,000.
