Dallas Resident Shot By Robbery Suspect

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A resident is in critical condition after being shot by a suspected robber. The shooting happened just before noon on Thursday in the 600 block of Blue Grass Drive in Dallas.

According to officials with the Dallas Police Department, the resident saw an unknown man in a nearby alleyway with some property. The resident confronted that suspect, but was ultimately shot during the encounter.

The victim was transported to Methodist Dallas Medical Center in critical condition. That individual has not yet been identified. There have been no other reports of injuries.

Police said that a male suspect has been taken into custody for questioning. The suspect has also not been identified.

Mountain View College in Dallas briefly went into lockdown while authorities were at the scene searching for a suspect. That lockdown has since been lifted, and business is back to normal on the campus.
