Dallas Police Raising Funds For Training Center

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The Dallas Police Department is announcing a fundraising initiative that will be a part of the Safer Dallas Better Dallas campaign.

The fundraiser is designed to help provide the Dallas Police with a new state of the art Reality Based Training Center, much like the Hogan's Alley facility used by the FBI in Quantico, Virginia.

The mission of Safer Dallas Better Dallas is to protect residents from becoming victims of crimes and to build a partnership between the community and the Dallas Police. It also aims to make Dallas the safest big city in the United States.

They are hoping to raise more than $2 million.
