Dallas police investigating after 16-year-old boy shot, killed in southeast Oak Cliff

DALLAS (CBSNewsTexas.com) — Dallas police are investigating after a teenager was shot and killed in southeast Oak Cliff Thursday night.

Around 8:20 p.m. April 13, police responded to a shooting call in the 5800 block of Highland Hills Drive.

When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy who had died from a gunshot wound. His identity has not been publicly released.

Upon further investigation, officers determined the victim and two other teens, ages 15 and 16, were involved in an argument before the shooting.

Police said that shortly after the argument, an unknown suspect shot at the three teens—striking the victim.

The suspect left the location and the two other teens were not injured, police said.
